A lot of pulp goes into a great party! From wedding maps to reception menus, the fiber count adds up quickly. There are a dizzying number of ways to make your invitations greener, and for those going the traditional paper route, the Ecological Guide to Paper by Celery Design will prove to be immensely helpful. This online tool, created by a San Francisco based graphic design firm, compares paper stocks at a glance. Two of our favorites made the list: Crane & Co. (made from 100% recycled cotton, 30% PCW) and Mohawk Paper (made from 100% PCW), both fine papers for elegant parties and receptions.
To further help you on your eco invite quest, we've rounded up some of our favorite design houses using 100% post-consumer-waste (PCW) recycled paper in our first of a series of shortlists. Stay tuned! We'll be sharing our favorite resources for handmade invitations, tree-free stationary, and unique invitations ideas (think laser inscribed ecoresin!) shortly!
